gmnhee_yu I gave up art for a career in banking and consulting. Then business school. Then more work. The paintbrushes went in a box and stayed there for years. A few months ago I opened Procreate for the first time. I had never made a single piece of digital art in my life. This is what I’ve been building. ↑ Rookie MBA is a library of books for babies and toddlers that introduce the big ideas most people don’t encounter until graduate school. I spent years in business school and boardrooms learning these concepts. Now I’m turning them into picture books for the tiniest readers. The art style is something I’m still exploring — as a traditionally trained oil painter I’m obsessed with the bold simplicity of illustrators like Leslie Patricelli and Todd Parr. Learning to un-learn realism might be the hardest thing I’ve ever drawn. But here we are.
