MAP strategy

You opened the group this morning and the same person who has been derailing every call this month posted another low-level question that has nothing to do with what she signed up for. You can name the handful of clients whose questions you brace yourself for on every call, the ones who ask things you already covered in module two and pull the energy of the room down every time they unmute. And then there is the other one. She has not logged in, has not done any of the work, has not been to a single call, but she emailed you last week to say she just doesn’t feel like you understand her business. Meanwhile your best client has the same exact business as her, and she made her investment back in the first month. You are sitting at your desk wondering if you need to add another call, bring on more support, or build a lower-tier program to absorb the people who are not doing the work. None of that is the answer. Two clients with the same business getting opposite outcomes is not proof that your program does not work, it is an indication that your marketing never set the tone for who this is actually for. She signed expecting a different program because your content never told her which one she was buying. It never named what the work actually looks like, who gets results, or who does not belong in the room. There are absolutely things you can do to improve your offer, but if you didn’t attract these people in the first place, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. That is a marketing problem. Change the marketing and the wrong person reads one post and decides this is not for her, before she ever makes it to your application. You are tolerating a version of your business that better marketing would have prevented.
